Liike
branding + identity + editorial + print
Liike magazine is a collaboration established in 2015 between the fantastic fashion photographer Kevin Voller, and Studio Zoid. Liike is a biannual, London based fashion and beauty magazine, focused on sustainability and ethical practices.
Brief
The challenge was to create a magazine brand that belonged within the world of fashion and photography, whilst also owning a unique personality. Alongside the brand development and styling, the magazine’s editorial design required construction and preparation for print and distribution.
Solution
The direction taken for Liike was clean, elegant and minimalist; a design approach to reflect the cleansing effect of ethical living and practice within the fashion world. A pure, healthy simplicity flows through the editorial design that allows the white of the paper stock and the emotion of the photography to push through without risk of being overwhelmed by gaudy design.
Keeping the core of the magazine design fresh and clean represented the preservation of the world’s raw environments; glaciers, forests etc. All as they should be, in place, protected and beautiful. The logo identity creation followed an identical approach; clean and simple, yet strong and striking.

Result
The project delivered a defined and clean brand for Liike that reflected its ethical intentions. This was applied throughout every issue and it’s online presence. Over the issues, we have had fun collaborating on something that we hold as high importance.
